The Eyes as Big as Plates project began in 2011 by New York artists Riittai Konen and Karoline Hjorth whilst on an artists residency in Norway. Working with local seniors across Norway & Finland, the duo created these beautiful, yet comical images... (to see more, click here).

Cumulus Living is a small Australian company who create whimsical and inspirational cushions. Offering floor and living cushions that can be bought online (here) or through stockists in Victoria and South Australia. I just can't get over how beautiful the pictures on the cushions are... You could stare at one of them for hours!

Abigail Ahern

Abigail Ahern is an eclectic and bold interior designer and author (see her site here) who is soon coming to Sydney!! Visiting Sydney July 21st for an all day design masterclass and Melbourne the day before. Ahern delights in using colours and darkness in her interiors and aims to help create individual and unique interiors that are perfect for each person. 

The Selby visited Ahern's London home in 2011 and here are some photos of her place... (how great is that bathroom!)

Ellie Malin

Melbourne-based print artist, Ellie Malin has recently joined forces with Australian fashion brand Gorman (fav!) in designing the new Autumn/Winter 2013 Range. Malin's colourful and playful designs perfectly compliment Gorman's style. 

Malin describes her work as; “An image’s origins may begin as something quite recognisable as I slowly take on a process of deconstructing it into pure simplified shapes and colour. In effect I’m pulling things apart in order to simplify their appearance."

My favourite product is the limited edition quilt (bottom image) which can be pre-ordered now for delivery in mid-late April. 

A Place Called Home

Mr Jason Grant, a well-known Sydney stylist is now also an author. He has styled for heaps of fab magazines including Real Living, Belle, Inside Out, Vogue Living, House and Garden, Elle Decoration and more and has just released his first book 'A Place Called Home.' The book covers photos of MJG's favourite places in Australia, including a lot of his iconic hometown Bondi. Xenia Taler

Xenia Taler along with partner Steven Koblinsky are the makers of these graphic tiles. From their studio in Toronto, Xenia designs the images and Steven crafts the tiles. 

The owl cushion is just too cute not to show! But not only is it gorgeous, it is also the work of Bedouin women living in the Sinai region of Egypt. Xenia, working with Aid to Artisans has collaborated with these women in Egypt to provide work which sells in a modern market. The positioning of each stitch is determined by counting the threads of the linen cloth. 

Made By Mosey

Madeleine Sargent of Victoria has created some beautiful handmade design pieces for nursery's and kids bedrooms. Made by Mosey is her company's name so check out her stuff (& to see more behind the scenes and into the cuteness which is her life, follow her on instagram here).

Incy Interiors

Jorge (husband) and I recently spent a night in Bathurst, NSW visiting some friends who study there. Country towns are always thought of as pretty bogan and lifeless by us city living folk, but i found that Bathurst was so beautiful. Thankfully our friends were there to show us the best places to go in town (Church Bar for dinner and The Hub for coffees and breakfast). On our way out of town I spotted Incy Interiors, a designer furniture and homewares business for babies and kids. I'd heard of Incy Interiors before through assisting in a shoot for Real Living Magazine with Erin Michael so J and I had a quick look through the store. It's full of beautiful furniture and some really cute accessories! Definately worth a look at their website, but for now here are a few things from their shop...

I've been following Helen Bayley of Lovestar on Instagram for a while now and every photo she posts is just so lovely! Helen is an Australian mum of 3 and the creator of heart vases, bright pom pom necklaces and bracelets, screen printed tea towels and heart decorations. I really need to get my hands on a Queen of Hearts vase!!
