Foldboat

English designers Max Frommeld and Arno Mathies are the creators of the 'foldboat'. Designed as a seamless, hard shell, folding boat... it is fabricated from one single sheet of plastic. It is designed for flat water environments and features durable hinges allowing the 2.5m vessel to be opened out flat or into a small parcel.

Tim Knowles

Tim Knowles is an artist based in the UK. However he is not the type of artist to work in a studio... To create his artworks Knowles relies on systems beyond his control which allows chance to take over his works.
Tree Drawings is a project where a series of drawings are produced using artists' pens attached to the tips of tree branches. Sheets of paper are placed in such a way that the trees natural motions - as well as their moments of stillness - are recorded. Knowles explains "Like signatures each drawing reveals the different qualities and characteristics of the various trees as they sway in the breeze: the relaxed, fluid line of an oak; the delicate, tentative touch of a larch; a hawthorn's stiff, slightly neurotic scratches."

Imogen Heath

Imogen Heath is one of UK's most exciting new textiles designers. Her bright and elegant designs are created in Imogen's studio and then produced either by hand or in British mills. She describes her design process as being:
‘all about retaining the same feeling of excitement and Joy that comes to me when I have an idea for a pattern, or when I draw something for the first time. I hope that by successfully taking these feelings through to the finished piece I can somehow bring that same delight into people’s surroundings’.

Something else I recently discovered through Imogen's blog is that she is related to interiors stylist and author Amanda Talbot (previously Amanda Heath)! Turns out they are sisters-in-law!

Anyway, if you're interested to find Imogen's products in Australia, click here.
